It is a great honour for Greater Sudbury to have been chosen to host the 2010 Ontario Summer Games. Greater Sudbury is a land replete with unique attractions, diverse culture and friendly northern hospitality. The staging of the Ontario Summer Games will celebrate our achievements in enviro-care, showcase our outstanding facilities and highlight the passion of our community.

With a population of 158,000 and a total area of 3,627 sq. km/ 1,400 sq. mi., Greater Sudbury is the largest centre in Northern Ontario, and is a regional capital that functions as the service hub for all of Northeastern Ontario – a market estimated at 550,000 people.
